REK in San Francisco: robots fight with blades

The promised longer on-site report is out. Everlast Robotics describes human pilots; official results remain unavailable.

Fights on October 9

Everlast AI reported on REK in San Francisco: bladed Unitree G1s, EngineAI T800s and a Wolverine-versus-Terminator themed main bout. The new Everlast Robotics piece shows more arena footage and an interview with the organizer. It is an edited report, not a complete recording of the fights.

Who controls the robots?

At 08:28–09:02, Everlast Robotics describes human pilots teleoperating the robots shown. At 16:30–17:29, the report again presents the fights as remotely controlled. We have no independent technical verification of the control setup.

What remains open

We could not verify an official results list. The claim of a world first has not been independently confirmed. The report also discusses a separate human-versus-robot event on September 18 and a regulatory dispute; we do not infer a general legal position for robot-versus-robot fights from it.
